Opt for the classic room with a view of the city - it's a must! the location is amazing, just 2 km away from the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza. 🌆

It was trip and we would stay here again. This was a perfect stay during winter time. Location: the hotel was close enough to the hill to the historic centre, both the restaurant and the bar and a former monastery that is so beautiful and can be seen from across the city. The pool was lovely, the staff was very efficient. Had breakfast in the dining room.

We had a large American breakfast with a huge variety of meals. The room was well-appointed and large - enjoyed the beautiful bathroom. The location of the hotel was stunning, close to nature.

I enjoyed a delicious and diverse breakfast here and my newly decorated room had great WiFi, a bar, and a beautiful view.

This place is really lovely and it is an experience to stay here! It basically feels like you were given a key to history and like you get to run around the halls where there are normally "do not enter" or " do not touch" signs. Really cool. It's set up on the hill away from the center of town, but it is still walkable. If you want to be in the middle of the action though, this place isn't it. The staff was incredibly friendly and the restaurant is good if not a little pricey. I only stayed one night but would definitely return. The gardens are gorgeous and there is a pool too with a fantastic view, so might be nice to come laze by the pool for a few days.

Lovely setting near Guimaraes, not too far to walk into town. Hotel was very big with lots of antique artefacts dotted around. Swimming pool was excellent with nice views.

the mini-bar prices and food prices were very pricey, given the general prices in the surrounding cafes/bars/restaurants.

The location is central, right next to a hilltop on the outskirts of Guimaraes and a hill above the town. the pousada is attached to a beautiful church. - We had a wonderful time at the poolside bar, enjoying the refreshing drinks.

We enjoyed the beauty of the Pousada. The chapel was open on the night we were there and we were able to sit there for a few moments. It was lovely and peaceful. I felt that the entire facility was elegant.

Our only disappointment was the restaurant. Staff were attentive and very professional, but the food was just fair.

Staff is very, very friendly. Location is overwhelming, beautiful, one in a kind.

Because of short-stay visitors (most guests stay only one, two or three days) the hotel only comes to life after 16:00. Nice and quite though !

A beautifully restored Monastry, the place is dripping with history and charm. Pleasant, although for a Monastry, slighly souless, pool area. Breakfast was excellent. The staff are considerate and very obliging.

Struggled to find the place! Our gps with the postcode took us on a real fun ride! When we stopped to ask directions no-one seemed to have heard of the place (maybe it was my pronounciation). After driving around in circles we actually spotted a sign in the rear view mirror! When we told the person at reception he explained that a lot of the signs had been temporarily removed for roadworks/or something similar. If you dont have your own transport it's a bit of a walk down and especially up to the Monastry from the town. We had our own transport so it didn't matter for us.

The stuff is very friendly. The room is extremely large and comfortable. Outside view is amazing - the pousada is located onto the top of the hill 5 minutes drive from the cener of Guimaraes. There is a large outdoor pool with beautiful view.

The restaurant is too expensive. Strictly recomended to have a dinner in town. There are some very good restaurants I.e Solar de Arco.

This venue is modern, fairly clean, in a stunning location within a monument, offering friendly service with free parking and a poolside bar, leading to a very relaxing time here.

Beautiful architecture, very comfortable room (standard one we had), quite environment.

Need to pay to have wi-fi!! For such room price and place wi-fi should be free like in most hotels today.

I do recomend dining at the hotel and try the different "rices" (arroz de pato and arroz de cabrito)
